Interior Color Trends to Consider

Stay in-the-know with these updated color trends for a chic interior!

Ready to give your new home some pizazz or wanting to spruce up your existing home with something new? Color is the perfect way to say a lot without necessarily doing a lot. Are you wondering which colors are particularly standing out these days? This blog will provide the perfect colorful inspiration when choosing colors to use throughout your home interior. Let’s get into it!

Trend #1: MAKE IT POP

For the bold players out there, you’ll be glad to hear that poppy tones of magenta, orange and red are taking the front stage! The key to pulling this color trend off is through the art of placement. Have an overall warm-toned kitchen? Find a warm-toned bright orange piece of furniture you’d like to stand out! The Pika SCC643 (pictured above) does a great job using this trend.

You can also choose the opposite route and let the bold color be your base, accenting with neutral tones of white, silver, dark wood tones or even another bold color! Orange and red can definitely work together with the right pieces and inspiration. With these tips, you can decorate your manufactured our modular home to feel juuuuust right every time you walk in!

We love the pops of subtle orange throughout the Cypress! Read more on this model here

Trend #2: GREEN IS THE NEW NEUTRAL

The influence nature has on interior design will always be timeless, and green, a color synonymous with nature and the beauty of the natural world, remains one of the most popular colors to use in Interior Design in 2023 and completes an ever-popular Biophilic Design Trend. The Innovation 1668H (pictured above) is a model that implements this trend with beauty! With Champion Homes, you don’t have to worry about not being able to stay on trend in a prefab home. We’ve got the options you need!

According to our Interior Design Manager Tammie D., greens with a blue base like our Rocky River are impactful and pair well with soft tones of clay, white, and grey while balancing out with a lighter flooring selection to complete a calming stage for the homeowner.  If your style is more modern, consider using green as an accent to lighter wood tones and black. More into Farmhouse styling? Pair green with warm wood tones, white, and accents of black.

Trend #3: MUTED STATEMENTS STILL SPEAK

This is the trend that never really goes out of style. People love calm tones because of their adaptability! You can have basically any design style and still find a way to work neutrals into your interior design and décor. This trend also has many options: browns, beiges, “greige,” ivories and more! With this trend, you can really show that “muted” does NOT have to mean “boring.”

This trend also pairs really well with another trend in this blog: greenery! If you’re taking the calm and muted route, pair the color scheme with some plants and flowers as the perfect accent. Trust us, the light tan cabinets will pop even more with a bird’s nest fern sitting on the counter! We absolutely love the Transitions-20727 (pictured below) for its take on this trend.

Trend #4: Dramatic Dark Accents

The Mammoth Park! Yep, it’s worth the wow!

If you want your home to look like a delicious chocolate bar tastes, you’re likely into dark tones and accents. Darker tones are a great way to add character and mood to any space. They also help to bring warmth to a home.

You can also take this route paired with another trend on this list…yep, you guessed it: nature-inspired! Think terracotta browns, eucalyptus greens and deep tans. Another bold idea when you’re going with dark tones? Paint the ceiling! It might sound crazy, but it can really work! Overall, if done correctly, a dark toned interior can be really calming.

Who’s ready to get colorful? Whichever color route you take, remember to make it your own! Home décor is never fully finished, so if you make a decision you don’t like, you are always free to tweak as you see fit. Ready to find the Champion home for you?
